Why We Like It
This comprehensive model (seven lofts, including six with adjustable hosels) targets most golfers looking for a neutral shot shape with a shallow face that makes it easier to get the ball up in the air. The face’s variable thicknesses are designed based on tens of thousands of representative swings to uncover the most important spots to add extra spring at impact. Those “microdeflections” in the face are intended to improve distance and downrange dispersion. The head uses a balance of forward weight to lower spin and rear weight to improve stability.
Characteristics
- The shallow face makes it easier for a broad group of players to launch shots.
- A carbon-composite crown and sole save weight that is moved forward for low spin and rearward for forgiveness.
- The variable-thickness face was designed with AI to optimize performance for players with a low-heel to high-toe impact pattern.
- 15, 16.5, 18, 20, 21, 24, 27 degrees (with an eight-way adjustable hosel)

Reviews
This one packs a powerful punch. The clubhead has some heft to it that helps launch the ball high with a purposeful flight. Gets on line quickly and stays there. Forgiveness is apparent.
Ryan, 48, Handicap: 10I could hit this on a string. Didn't matter if it was in the center or a little miss. The carbon works as a kind of camouflage. This is a pretty big head, but it plays like a much smaller club that hugs closer to the ground.
Erika, 43, Handicap: 0I like the carbon-fiber look at address. The topline is helpful for alignment and the slight offset inspires confidence. Has a nice dull pop to it. The ball jumps off the face and gets good distance. Very workable and forgiving. Able to shape shots without fear of a punishing mis-hit. Produces a high ball flight.
RC, 62, Handicap: 7Swing Your Fairway Wood with Confidence
One of the more difficult shots amateurs face is the long approach that requires a fairway wood. Most players aren’t confident hitting a 3-wood off the ground, and they don’t practice the shot enough to build confidence. In this video, Jason Birnbaum shares his best confidence-building techniques and tips on how to make a solid contact with these long clubs.
