It wasn’t easy but Nelly Korda continued her historic win streak, grabbing her second major title at the Chevron Championship. Her third consecutive 69 to go with a first-round 68 gave her a two-shot margin over Maja Stark.

The win was Korda’s fifth straight becoming the third player in LPGA history to achieve that feat. She’s also the first American to win five times in a season since 1999.

World No. 1 Korda and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler are the second pair of World No. 1s to win majors in consecutive weeks since the inception of the Rolex Rankings in 2006.

Korda’s driver, TaylorMade’s Qi10 Max, is one of the most forgiving in golf given its combined moment of inertia of 10,000. Moment of inertia helps mitigate ball speed loss on mis-hits and Korda used the club to average 272 yards off the tee.

“The reason why I picked the Qi10 Max driver is the look of it compared to the other models,” Korda told TaylorMade. “When I put it down and look at it I feel like I can hit any shot I want with the subtle blue face and silver topline. When I look down at it, I feel like I can aim it really well and I know where the center of the clubface is, too. If you don’t like the look of the club, you’re never going to be able to hit it. Once I put the Qi10 Max down and teed it up, I feel like I could hit any shot I wanted to.”

Korda’s putter is a prototype Scotty Cameron by Titleist TourType Squareback 2, a larger blade model she has favored for two-plus years now. This week the putter was housed in a green Cameron putter cover but that could change at any time.

“I always raid the headcover stash when I go to Scotty Cameron’s studio,” she told Golf Digest in 2022. “I’m always asking what’s new. I like a little bit of fun flair to the bag. I probably have more than a dozen.”

If she keeps this up that number might be wins, not putter covers.
