Netflix has ordered a third season of the PGA Tour series “Full Swing.”

The Sports Business Journal reported in February that the show had been greenlit for 2025, and Netflix crews were present at many PGA Tour stops this season, yet the streaming service did not make the move official until Monday.

The show was branded in the mold of popular Netflix docudrama “Formula 1: Drive to Survive.” The “Full Swing” series attempts to show a behind-the-scenes look at professional golf, with episodes highlighting Keegan Bradley and the friendship between Joel Dahmen and Geno Bonnalie receiving acclaim, although it’s also been ridiculed for creating narratives that don’t exist.

After its debut in 2023 the PGA Tour released several metrics indicating the show had a positive effect on the tour’s reach, stating that 42 percent of viewers spent more time watching pro golf on TV after "Full Swing." However, similar metrics have not been released following the show’s sophomore season, as ratings for the 2024 PGA Tour year have been significantly down.

The show has been produced by Vox Media Studios and Box to Box Films, with the new media entity Pro Shop (which is partially funded by the PGA Tour) taking the reins this season.

The announcement joined a slate of sports-related content from Netflix on Monday, including new documentaries on Aaron Rodgers, polo, the 2004 Boston Red Sox and the 2009 Washington Wizards gun scandal.
