You can't come closer to making a hole-in-one than this PGA Tour pro
Ben Kohles recorded the first-ever hole-in-one in the inaugural Black Desert Championship on Thursday. We're still trying to figure out how J.J. Spaun didn't match him.
Kohles aced the 130-yard 17th hole at Black Desert Resort in his opening round, spinning back a wedge that rattled off the flagstick and in. Have a look:
Nicely done, Ben. And a couple hours later, Spaun appeared like he would do the same thing. Instead, somehow, his golf ball lipped out. You might want to look away if you're a member of Spaun's family or playing him in your fantasty lineup this week:
That hurts. Seriously, that ball was curling and creeping toward the hole. How did this not drop?
Ouch. Anyway, Spaun had to settle for a tap-in birdie. And on the bright side, that saved him a few bucks at the clubhouse bar on Thursday night.
